INTERNATIONAL FACULTY

We are thrilled to welcome to the stage a number of international speakers, all of whom are experts in their field.

MITCHEL P. GOLDMAN, MD

Mitchel P. Goldman, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and is a diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He is a volunteer clinical professor in medicine/dermatology at the University of California, San Diego and the founder and medical director of Goldman Butterwick Fitzpatrick Groff & Fabi: Cosmetic Laser Dermatology, also in San Diego. He is the director of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship Program and has an affiliation with Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California.

A graduate of Boston University (summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) and Stanford University Medical School, Dr. Goldman is renowned for pioneering research on multiple laser techniques, skin rejuvenation, and vein therapy. He completed his internship at the University of California, San Diego, and his dermatology residency at the University of California in Los Angeles.

Dr. Goldman was Founder and Past President of the American College of Phlebology, Past President of the San Diego Dermatological Society, Past President of the Sonoran Dermatology Society, and now President of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He also served on the board of directors for the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Pacific Dermatology Association, American Venous Forum, the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and Board of Governors for Stanford University School of Medicine.

The author of 18 medical textbooks on cosmetic and laser surgery, dermatology, sclerotherapy, ambulatory phlebectomy, and cellulite, Dr. Goldman has also written more than 300 peer-reviewed journal articles. He is an Associate Editor of numerous medical journals, including Dermatologic Surgery, Cosmetic Dermatology, and Phlebology Forum and he has co-authored a number of medically oriented books for the general public regarding teenage skincare, leg rejuvenation, and proactive approaches to aging.

Dr. Goldman also serves as a member of over 30 professional societies and as a medical consultant to numerous companies, including Allergan, Merz, Valeant, SkinMedica, Lumenis Laser Corporation and New Star Lasers. He holds 7 patents on a variety of laser and vascular surgery products and is involved as an advisor and investor in a variety of “start-up” technology companies. His social interests include family and cycling, not always in that order.

VINCENT GOTZ

Vince, a clinical pharmacist by training, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin and graduate degree from Purdue University. He has 12 years of clinical practice, teaching and research experience in large university hospital settings (The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center), including 7 years on the University of Florida faculty as a tenured Associate Professor.   He has over 30 years of experience in public and private pharmaceutical and biomedical companies in various management positions.  Vince has over 55 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has made several poster presenations at the American Academy of Dermatology meetings. He has a broad based experience in both medical and aesthetic dermatology and has served as a consultant for several dermatology and cosmetic companies including SkinMedica for 10 years.

RAVI JAIN

Dr Ravi Jain is a consultant Aesthetic Physician trained in London, UK. He is the owner of the multi-award winning Riverbanks Clinic which has won Best Clinic in the UK three times since 2009 also winning Best Business Development and Customer Service awards. He is an expert in vaser liposculpture as well as advanced non-surgical facial aesthetics.

He has been appointed a Global Ambassador for Galderma since 2013 in a role which he has had the opportunity to share his experiences and knowledge with thousands of doctors and nurses around the world. His affable approach to medicine and teaching is warmly welcomed by his delegates and patients.

KM KAPOOR

Dr Krishan Mohan Kapoor is a Plastic surgeon who has done his masters in surgery from Patiala, India and MCh in Plastic Surgery from PGIMER, Chandigarh, India which is one of the most prestigious institutes in India. He is also Indian National Board certified plastic surgeon and was awarded additional qualification of DNB, Diplomate of National Board, in plastic surgery. He has been working as Consultant and then as Senior Consultant, Plastic Surgery at JCI accredited Fortis Hospital, Mohali, India which is being ranked amongst top three plastic surgery centres in India by The Times of India newspaper. He is also director of Anticlock Medispa, a leading aesthetic clinic in India. Dr Kapoor is a visiting clinical fellow at Anglia Ruskin University, UK and is actively involved in teaching and examination of postgraduate students. Dr Kapoor is also a faculty member of Allergan Medical Institute and has been a part of various clinical anatomy workshops. He has been involved as teaching faculty in various training workshops on Botulinum toxin and fillers in various countries like China, Singapore, Indonesia, South Africa etc. Dr Kapoor has shared his experience in various national and international conferences as speaker, commentator and chairperson.

PAUL J MATTS

Paul joined Procter & Gamble in 1988 and has spent the majority of his career in R&D conducting research and developing methods to feed the technology pipelines of brands such as Olay, Max Factor, Dolce & Gabbana, SKII, and others. As Research Fellow, he has specific expertise in measurement and modelling of all aspects of skin structure, function and appearance, sun protection and the psychology of perception of skin, among other areas. Paul is a regular Keynote speaker and contributor to a wide variety of external academic and industry conferences and meetings, both within the UK and internationally. He is Visiting Professor to the London College of Fashion and to the University College London School of Pharmacy, the Chair of the Cosmetics Europe Expert Team “Regulatory Aspects Sunscreen Products” and a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and Royal Society of Chemistry. He is a proponent of Community Dermatology and involved in and highly passionate about several projects in Africa related to skin disease and its prevention and treatment using low-cost, sustainable materials. Paul is married with three children and, when he has time, a fanatical UK SCUBA diver and BSAC instructor.

RASHMI SHETTY

Dr Rashmi Shetty is an aesthetic physician and dermatologist practicing in Mumbai, Hydrabad and Chennai, and is the author of book Age Erase. Rashmi is a renowned speaker at world forums, known for her expert lectures and injectable workshops. Rashmi has been involved with a number of advisory boards and scientific committees, including Editorial Board of the Journal of Cosmetology and Trichology, USA. Editorial Board, Journal of Clinical and Cosmetic Dermatology. Scientific Committee on ANTI-Ageing Medicine at the World Congress in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Anti-ageing Medicine, Asian Congress. Board of Facial Aesthetic Consensus, India and Asia. Faculty
of the Allergan International Academy, as well as involved with Unilever Ponds, Marico Industries, Bio-Oil, and Procter & Gamble. Rashmi has won a number of awards, including the News Makers Award 2016, Indian Icon Award 2015, Promising Young Achiever of the Year 2014 at the India Health & Wellness Awards, and Best Non-Surgical Aesthetic Medicine Expert in 2012 and 2013 at the Pharmaceutical Leadership Awards.

EMIL A. TANGHETTI

Dr. Emil A. Tanghetti was born and raised in Sacramento. He attended U.C Davis where he excelled in his studies and received early admission to UCLA School of Medicine after only three years of undergraduate studies. Upon completing his medical studies and a
1-year pathology fellowship, Dr. Tanghetti graduated first in his class and received the Dean Warren Medal for academic excellence. After finishing residencies in internal medicine
at Stanford University and dermatology at Harvard School of Medicine, he completed a photo-medicine fellowship at the Wellman labs at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Tanghetti is a board certified dermatologist and a fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is currently listed in the “Best Doctors in America” Pacific Region and recognized as “Top Doc” by his peers in Sacramento Magazine. Dr Tanghetti has received the “Hero In Health Care” award for his volunteer work in removing tattoos for the California Youth Authority. Dr. Tanghetti has been active in clinical studies for over a decade. His research interests have focused on laser surgery, psoriasis, actinic keratosis, photo-ageing, and acne vulgaris. His work has been published in journals such as Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, Journal of Dermatologic Surgery, the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy, and Cutis. Dr. Tanghetti has presented data at the meetings of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and the American Academy of dermatology as well as Laser Innsbruck and is an internationally recognized speaker and consultant. He is a fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and a member of the California Medical Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Dermatology.

SKY WONG

Doctor Wong’s professional Qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, MBBS (HKU), Master of Science in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, MScAPS (London), Master of Science in Practical Dermatology, MScPD (Cardiff), and Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, MRCSEd Dr Wong acquired his medical degree in Hong Kong and received dermatology and aesthetic plastic surgery training in both Hong Kong and the UK. Now, Dr Wong is the chief doctor in dermatology and aesthetic plastic surgery centre in Hong Kong. His experience in Picosecond lasers extends more than 3 years, covers mainly for Asian skins and the treatments are in excess of 500 patients.

DR WOFFLES WU

Dr Woffles Wu is a craniofacial plastic surgeon who graduated in Singapore in 1984 and subsequently trained in Edinburgh and Melbourne. He was board-certified by the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, in plastic surgery in 1994. Dr Wu served as a specialist in the Department of Plastic Surgery of Singapore General Hospital from 1989 to 2000 and was appointed as consultant in 1995. He has been in private practice since 2000. Dr Wu sits on numerous committees in several international professional bodies such as the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons ISAPS where he is an appointed Visiting Professor, the International Consortium of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons ICAPS and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons ASAPS. In 2005, Dr Wu served as the Vice President of the International Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons IAAPS Dr Wu has published many clinical papers and book chapters on plastic surgery techniques and is on the editorial board of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr Wu has shared his experience in over 250 international conferences and symposia where he has been an invited keynote speaker, panelist or moderator. Dr Wu pioneered the Stealth Incision Technique for scarless breast augmentation in 1996. He is credited for having pioneered the techniques for Botox Browlifting, Microbotox and Facialsculpting. He developed the WOFFLES THREAD (patented in over 18 countries) and the WOFFLES LIFT non-surgical facelifting procedure in 2002. Dr Wu was featured as one of the 19 most famous plastic surgeons in the world in the 2005 book “Aesthetic Surgery” published by Taschen Books..

Registration fee inclusions

Full Conference registration fee for ASCD Members, Non-Member Doctors, Registrars, and Practice Staff includes lectures,  official meeting documents, morning/afternoon tea, lunch and coffee breaks and admission to the Social Functions. Accommodation, meals for partners and additional tickets for the Social Functions are not included in the registration fee.

Additional tickets can be purchased for the social functions should you wish to bring a guest.

Day registrations do not include tickets to social functions.

Registration Cancellation Policy

To allow us to meet our Symposium commitments, registrations received after 16 June 2017 will be subject to a price increase (see table above). Any registrations made onsite at the event or online during the event are subject to an additional fee.

Cancellations made prior to 31 May 2017 will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations made between 31 May 2017 to 31 July 2017 are subject to a $300 cancellation fee. No refunds will be made following 1 August 2017 due to commitments that will be made at this time to the venues.

Please note credit card surcharges will not be refunded at any stage.

Terms and Conditions

The members of the ASCD Council and The Production House Events do not accept any liability for any losses incurred pre, post or during the Symposium due to unforeseen cancellation or postponement. In the event of the Symposium being cancelled, no refunds will be issued. All available funds will be credited towards a future symposium/s held by the ASCD. Registration fee does not include accommodation, meals for partners and extra tickets for the Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner. Please note there is no entry to the industry exhibition hall without registration to the conference.
