Join us for the ASCD welcome drinks where we will welcome delegates from around the country whilst enjoying Australian wines and delicious food.

This event is included in full symposium registrations. Tickets for guests or those with day passes can be purchased for $95 per ticket.

Gala Dinner

Myer Mural Hall

The Gala Dinner will be the social highlight of the ASCD Symposium, and will be held at one of Melbourne’s most beautiful venues. It’s a perfect opportunity to unwind after a day of information gathering. Enjoy great Melbourne food, network with your peers and be entertained!

Gala Dinner Tickets will be an additional cost of $150. Additional tickets for guests can be purchased for $200 per ticket.

Adjacent to Crown Conference Centre, stylish, affordable and thoroughly modern, Melbourne’s Crown Promenade Hotel offers you a fresh perspective on how good a hotel can be. The hotel features spacious rooms with fantastic views overlooking Port Phillip Bay or the Melbourne CBD and Yarra River.

Buffet breakfast at Mesh Restaurant

Occupancy – Standard rooms in Crown Promenade are configured with either one king bed or two queen beds. The maximum number of registered persons in this room type is three adults OR two adults and two children under 15 years of age

Extra Bed – No additional charge will apply when utilising existing bedding, however a daily surcharge of $55 will be raised for any additional bed (rollaway) in any one room. Please note rollaway beds are only available in Studio Rooms or Suites.

Breakfast – Full Australian buffet breakfast is available at Mesh Restaurant from $35.50 per person. Please note that the above accomodation rates have incorporated a discounted rate for breakfast when bought as a package at Mesh Restaurant.

Internet – Complimentary in-room standard wireless internet (1Mbit) for two devices has been extended for all delegates within the hotel during the group’s contracted dates.

Crystal Club – Crystal Club guests enjoy exclusive access to our beautiful lounge on level 3. The ideal place for guests to relax and enjoy the complimentary full breakfast, afternoon tea and pre-dinner drinks and canapés, whilst being treated to the highest quality five star service. Guests are also about to check in and check out in a private reception area. Crystal Club access can be purchased for all room types at an additional $185.00 per room, for two guests. Hotel Cancellation Policy

Less than 30 days – One night’s accommodation charged per room cancelled to the applicable credit card.
No Shows – One night’s accommodation charged per room to the applicable credit card.

CPD POINTS

(ASCD) Dermal Therapists:

The ASCD Symposium is recognised as a CPD opportunity for all ASDC members and they are highly encouraged to attend to demonstrate their industry engagement and professional development.
Currently there is not a specific allocated number of CPD points for different level events. Members are required to attend at least 3 industry or ASDC events over the course of a year.

(ASCD) Dermatologists:

CPD points will apply for this Symposium for Dermatologists

(ACNP) Nurses & Nurse Practitioners

For every hour of active learning, relevant to your current practice, you can log 1 hour of CPD as per the requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery board.

It is incumbent upon the attendee to record details of the courses they attend and provide evidence of relevance and participation. A certificate of attendance will be provide at the conclusion of the symposium.

Nurse practitioners require the standard 20 hours, plus 10 hours relating to their advanced practice, e.g. prescribing.

Nurse Practitioners attending and actively participating in the full ASCD Symposium could achieve up to 20 hours towards their annual CPD requirement.

(RACGP) General Practitioners (GP’s)

General Practitioners attending the ASCD Symposium will be responsible for self reporting directly to RACGP for CPD points to be allocated.
