The Australasian Society of Cosmetic Dermatologists (ASCD) is delighted to invite you to the 2019 ASCD Symposium, at the Sydney Hilton Hotel from 20 – 22 September 2019.

The ASCD is a not for profit organisation, a part of the Skin and Cancer Foundation Inc and all its monies are fed back into further teaching and training for the benefit of all the professions. It is a completely open conference – only in existence to teach. It is designed to bring national and international thought leaders to one place to give all attendees a simply amazing experience that will be both practical and inspirational.

This year we again have 11 overseas speakers and some great Australian thought leaders emphasising excellence – in general and into the specifics of our practice, the aspiration, inspiration and fulfilment of this goal. We will theme this through the plenary sessions and the entire conference.

We are welcoming not only of all clinicians throughout our conference but also their practice management staff. We will be exploring a small group learning activity format in Room B with emphasis on lasers and energy-based devices, skin care, regulatory aspects and the business of practice building. Trying to be a responsive organisation, this is a direct result of an amazing plenary on effective medical education last year.

We will again travel through the skin with new issues to be raised from the surface to the bone in Room A with a mixture of epidermal, dermal, subcutaneous and muscular concerns. We will start with our feature this year – and will focus on the eye and its surrounds its beauty and its peril.

We held a multidisciplinary meeting at the tail end of 2018 and worked on safety in the visual loss area with fillers and we will highlight the findings on this and suggest and use a new teaching method along these lines starting this year with the safest zones to inject fillers and how much they impact on beauty.

This will provide a new way of treating the face with make-up, neuromodulators and fillers suture lifting and we hope you will enjoy this approach.

Who Should Attend?

Everyone – This is an entirely open conference. All Healthcare Professionals, Nurses and Practice Staff who have a focus on Cosmetic Dermatology.

CPD points will apply for this Symposium for Dermatologists.
Registration is open – spots are limited, don’t miss out!
